I am not making so many different items this year as I think in previous years I have made too much so i now have a good stock of things for my Craft Market this year!<br />

I have been making more of the jar lights though and sent some to Yorkshire by post the other day. I am happy to say they arrived in perfect condition! <br />

Time is certainly flying fast this year. I can't believe that Christmas is only a few months away either!<br />
<br />
I have not really been making much since I came back from India but now have to make things for my Christmas Market at the end of November.<br />
<br />
This year I will be selling my usual items but I am also making some tea light jars. I love making these and each one is different. some have fairies in them and others have Christmas themes like Gingerbread men or little Christmas village scenes.<br />
<br />
Here are some that I have made:<br />

<br />
I recently a Sizzix 3D Accordion Album cutting die on one of the many Facebook craft selling groups. I don't make cards very often but this die caught my interest and I thought it would be a useful die to have. It is a discontinued die so not one you can easily get hold of but the designer of the die now designs similar dies for Elizabeth Craft Designs so if you like it take a look at those.<br />
<br />
With this die you have to cut several pieces and then join them together to form the accordion. You can basically add as many pieces as you want depending on your project. For my card I just cut 3 pieces.<br />
<br />
I heat embossed the frame part with clear embossing powder and used a Stampin Up swirl stamp. I found that Spellbinders Label no 1 is exactly the same shape as the centre part so I used that to cut out some design paper to decorate it.<br />
<br />

<br />
Just a quick note to say that I have
switched on the comment moderation on here as I keep getting someone
spamming my posts with advets for sari's and have got alittle fed up of
her doing this. The only thing Google can suggest is to review comments
so I will try this.<br />
<br />
Sorry that your comments won't show straight away but hopefully it will stop the spam eventually!<br />

<br />
I came across this fab idea for a mini gift box that looks like one of those wooden crates that you used to get veg in. Maybe in organic shops you still get them, I don't know as most of our veg comes from my dad's allotment garden.<br />
<br />
Anyway, it is extremely easy to make and you can find details over on Jackie Topa's <a href="http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addicted_to_stamping/2016/05/faux-wooden-crate.html">blog</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
As soon as I saw it I had to make it - this was at 11pm last night!! It looks big in the photo but really is diddy. I have some large Yardley lavender soap that I bought recently and if I remove it from it's packaging then it fits perfectly into these little crates. I may have to cut and stamp a batch of these and then assemble them when I get to India in December to put little gifts in for friends there! If those mini Christmas puddings that you can get fit in it then I think that would look really cute!<br />

<br />
I am on a roll this week! The sun is shining today and I remembered that I had not posted about the glass bead suncatcher/windchime that I made recently. It is hung in my window catching the lovely sunshine.<br />
<br />
I had seen lots of lovely suncatchers on Pinterest and decided to have a go at making one myself. I used a large sink strainer to hang my beads from that I purchased from Amazon. I used a good selection of glass beads - lampwork, pearls, crystals etc along with some silver plated charms and findings and some chain to hang it with. I made up lots of bead strings and then attached the to the strainer.<br />
<br />
I was so pleased with the finished item!! It is for indoors only but if you hang it near a window it jingles with the wind! I took my photo outdoors as the background was nicer and the day that I took the photo was very cloudy and dull.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6V95sBuhwcPRjoe0PP7Czkz264srRrCi_0QZt9t16NEvi0D1z0b8QhnGyBrLC95SiuuhGpXshHqJwI_R2ccpIT7bdIUOxUStkGGsls5Yzrv_s4VMM6LGtlfJC4xCT3n1LbWTQb0fPweo/s1600/DSC00701.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6V95sBuhwcPRjoe0PP7Czkz264srRrCi_0QZt9t16NEvi0D1z0b8QhnGyBrLC95SiuuhGpXshHqJwI_R2ccpIT7bdIUOxUStkGGsls5Yzrv_s4VMM6LGtlfJC4xCT3n1LbWTQb0fPweo/s400/DSC00701.JPG" width="245" /></a></div>
I used alot of beads and made approx 15 bead strings! I am going to make some more using a smaller sink strainer to make them more affordable and will take them along to my Christmas Market in December.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I am doing well this week! I bought Stampin Up's Petite Purse die last year secondhand after having it on my 'want' list for ages. I then didn't use it as I went off to Goa but I had cut out one purse and assembled it and it has been sat looking at me for ages. Anyway, I have been trying to think of other ways to use this die and this is the first use I have come up with - a reindeer treat box (I know, Christmas is a long way off!!). <br />
<br />
I didn't follow anyone else's tutorial for this but if you look online, there are some other different ways that people have used this die to make reindeers - just go with whatever tools, punches etc that you have and see what you come up with!<br />
<br />
These are the bits that I used to make my treat box. I initially used small black circles for the pupils of the eyes but thought it would look better with a larger circle - this pic shows the smaller circles.<br />
I used<br />
<br />
a circle punch for the nose and stickles to make it sparkle. <br />
antlers are made from a Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die<br />
eyes were from the Stampin Up Owl Builder punch<br />
ears are the wings from the Stampin Up Bird Builder punch (I shaped them around the barrel of a pen)<br />
<br />
The mouth was more of a challenge as I didn't have a punch suitable for this so I cut a 1 inch circle and then used a smaller circle punch to cut into it to give me a basic shape with I then trimmed into the mouth shape. I cut an extra back piece of the purse as well so that I could stick it over the back of the assembled purse to hide the antlers which I had stuck to the back.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLLIsbCnzeHXbY9_8smcDM7xcHD4nNCmc3cl5VQtTLtie1ZROJktt7kGymunZgcWhfOTD2DbjaFf-TOsKJf-t7zZdgPhnEHlWC8uEtC34EsFGxV1hgamHY-erGig39At5XYoLfhyrv9y0/s1600/DSC00782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLLIsbCnzeHXbY9_8smcDM7xcHD4nNCmc3cl5VQtTLtie1ZROJktt7kGymunZgcWhfOTD2DbjaFf-TOsKJf-t7zZdgPhnEHlWC8uEtC34EsFGxV1hgamHY-erGig39At5XYoLfhyrv9y0/s320/DSC00782.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
With the smaller pupils my reindeer looked like this: Alittle surprised looking!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdwxAzZ2o-3ykrqw96jaFd0E1pDBRQQwCVgyjfjy3ScDZuH6i9t9fkwxYnvR1RUGB1iDmDk7REFMLGa2k-Q4uXXcykYes-EkaQiMvj4B-3ZhBwCoCzvRsGYIk93Qhetj_CS5dRvx7wSpo/s1600/DSC00785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdwxAzZ2o-3ykrqw96jaFd0E1pDBRQQwCVgyjfjy3ScDZuH6i9t9fkwxYnvR1RUGB1iDmDk7REFMLGa2k-Q4uXXcykYes-EkaQiMvj4B-3ZhBwCoCzvRsGYIk93Qhetj_CS5dRvx7wSpo/s320/DSC00785.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I prefer this look<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ6Y8HfOS_NXbD6PUuXHbCZ_qo7lXt2SdPbY15yJl8MO3Kexk8B6muwwt1QSGjWu5X9H618kwW9Txc7KoLBlURJSwG9Z54P59euW6s48wuV1oTOVE6kCFphcqrhABH47OetCRzo4M67vc/s1600/DSC00786.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="289" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ6Y8HfOS_NXbD6PUuXHbCZ_qo7lXt2SdPbY15yJl8MO3Kexk8B6muwwt1QSGjWu5X9H618kwW9Txc7KoLBlURJSwG9Z54P59euW6s48wuV1oTOVE6kCFphcqrhABH47OetCRzo4M67vc/s320/DSC00786.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The eye size makes alot of difference doesn't it!<br />
<br />
These could be used for a little gift box or with a handle fixed around the back of the antlers to hang on your Christmas tree with a chocolate treat in.<br />
<br />
If you have any questions just leave me a comment and I will try to help :)<br />

<br />
We are certainly getting a mixed bag of weather lately. I don't know whether to wear winter or summer clothing as it has gone from scorching hot to freezing cold in a matter of days. It does look like it is set to improve though and July looks like it is going to be lovely and sunny!!<br />
<br />
I recently came across some lovely bookmarks on Pinterest made by Kim over at <a href="http://www.kimoconnell.com/2010/10/bookmarks.html?m=1">Paper Perfect Designs</a> using the Stampin Up Owl Builder punch. I liked them so much that I made a couple for my little niece who was feeling abit under the weather.<br />
<br />
I used the scallop top tag punch for the actual book mark and the Owl Builder Punch the same as Kim had used. They look really nice and bright and I plan to make more of them for my Christmas Market stall later in the year.<br />
<br />
Here are the 2 bookmarks that I made<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I was in Goa for 3 months and arrived back at the beginning of March so was not doing anything much except relaxing and sunbathing and partying with friends!<br />
<br />
The pace of life in Goa is much slower and very laid back and I love it there!<br />

I don't know where the time has gone this year. Since I got back from India in June the time has whizzed past and now we are nearly into November and I fly out to India again on 1 December!<br />
<br />
I have not done much crafting as I have been working and have to be up early to get the bus to town and then by the time I get home I am usually really tired.<br />
<br />
I have also been organising a Christmas Market again at my local church hall - not sure that I will have much to sell there this year!<br />
<br />
I have made a few bits though so will just post some photos of those for now!!<br />

<br />
I am blogging after quite some time! When I came back from India at the end of June I didn't really have anything to blog about and I haven't been feeling very creative so had not made anything much either!<br />
<br />
Recently, I've been thinking about what to make for Christmas this year and have made a few things. I am flying out to Goa on 1 December for 3 months so won't really need to do much this year but I will make up some things to take out as gifts for friends.<br />
<br />
One thing I have made are these large gingerbread men to hang from the door. They are quite a bit bigger than my usual tree decoration ones and look lovely hung on doors. I am going to personalise them with a tag like the one in the photo below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmywc6ciGGovMZSah0tODD3hVfxy-irt7BUdSPnWicJ7-_jQ30Vc3Dk8gOhTygj979vmVh2r7TsgxxHYNkSMGTKJXYzUrEOe74AkiNRKSmWU6uxOKOdKwP0nevCE53G4nfcUL0GCwIwmA/s1600/20150705_184750.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmywc6ciGGovMZSah0tODD3hVfxy-irt7BUdSPnWicJ7-_jQ30Vc3Dk8gOhTygj979vmVh2r7TsgxxHYNkSMGTKJXYzUrEOe74AkiNRKSmWU6uxOKOdKwP0nevCE53G4nfcUL0GCwIwmA/s320/20150705_184750.jpg" width="235" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've also made some more of the tags I used on the gingerbread men and put Christmas words on them. They are quite a nice little size to add onto gifts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've also made some more little fox brooches which are cute.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been getting messy this week doing a papier mache bowl. I started making the bowl as something to do with my 7 year old niece but she lost interest after about 5 minutes!! Anyway, as I had already started it, I thought I may as well complete the project!! It was messy work and pretty time consuming but I love the end result. I haven't done papier mache since I was a kid! </div>

I spent many years splitting my time between the Uk and Goa. Usually, I came to escape the cold British winters and would spent approx 6 months a year in Goa. <br>
<br>
During that time I made alot of friends and although I am in contact with some of them on Facebook I thought it was high time to pay a visit and catch up with them again.</p>
<p dir="ltr">So, my 2 weeks has come to an end and tomorrow I will fly back to Bombay to stay with my friends until 19 June. I feel very sad to say goodbye to my Goa friends but I am hoping that maybe next year I can come again for longer.</p>
<p dir="ltr">It's extremely hot here right now as India is experiencing a heatwave. In some states people have died due to heat related problems. Luckily for me I have an air con room.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The monsoons will start soon but I will be long gone by then.</p>
<p dir="ltr">So I say goodbye to Goa but know that this time I will return soon :)<br>
</p>

<p dir="ltr">Last week I flew out of the UK and I am currently in Bombay sweating my butt off in 36 degrees.  I am here until 19 June and plan to go to Goa as well.  So instead of crafty posts you may get some of my trip.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I am visiting friends and catching up after several years so enjoying meeting everyone again.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Here is the Bombay sunset from the other night.</p>

You can find Linda's tutorial <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW_9ly-Jtvo">here</a>.<br />
<br />
It's made using the envelope punchboard and a selection of punches although I used dies for some of the shapes as I didn't have the punches!<br />
<br />
Here is my finished bunny box<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Pop along and watch Linda's video and have a go at making one yourself!<br />

There are many ideas for this on Pinterest and I liked the one done <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/78320480996767172/">here</a> and used it a base but of course I did some things differently and used a mixture of Stampin up punches and EK Success punches and a small spellbinders flower die.<br />
<br />
Here is my finished box<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltHeIjHGwQqOVIXCVd2DOfGYj2-GoC03qwggfDUBD0GQgEi5CVinBIyCn6tfU3j7QiF_d9hrw-5JJxuoWHhMEU_QMGqaQ8PWKtjk1KS9IDIDGPPEVCNfckDSpIAV45oJY8t7P_NdecYU/s1600/DSC00251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgltHeIjHGwQqOVIXCVd2DOfGYj2-GoC03qwggfDUBD0GQgEi5CVinBIyCn6tfU3j7QiF_d9hrw-5JJxuoWHhMEU_QMGqaQ8PWKtjk1KS9IDIDGPPEVCNfckDSpIAV45oJY8t7P_NdecYU/s1600/DSC00251.JPG" height="237" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
He reminds me of Shaun the Sheep!!<br />
<br />
This one was more fiddly to make than the owl that I showed you yesterday. I've done a tutorial to hopefully show you how I made the sheep design.<br />
<br />
To start you will need to make a white curvy keepsake box using the cutting die from Stampin Up. Make sure you curl the sides with your bone tool.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyYKYO130GxY7SqlxAU-3ssQHt1sak3b6ruI9NpfHvPWUpnYf39X1CQndXhzFlkXrfLjoqPbSKflD8_6FqkpU7jc9cLft7PkCaMbXWM4_X2zYu52w7LJ93CJcq0bqCAlTj1klgK1wYTZQ/s1600/DSC00229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyYKYO130GxY7SqlxAU-3ssQHt1sak3b6ruI9NpfHvPWUpnYf39X1CQndXhzFlkXrfLjoqPbSKflD8_6FqkpU7jc9cLft7PkCaMbXWM4_X2zYu52w7LJ93CJcq0bqCAlTj1klgK1wYTZQ/s1600/DSC00229.JPG" height="242" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGmv9fI_7l0ZrIh789FY-vB0_LmPo_LnEjSegToDSRjCZATQOieavu9ia2LzvgQQ1OcAmkhQDXqw-nzoYXacmOc0BLaiT7tZ6o4EOjWwptvMep5TNFb-XEB_PT_Ynzxw4JbIL6K2d4Bno/s1600/DSC00240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGmv9fI_7l0ZrIh789FY-vB0_LmPo_LnEjSegToDSRjCZATQOieavu9ia2LzvgQQ1OcAmkhQDXqw-nzoYXacmOc0BLaiT7tZ6o4EOjWwptvMep5TNFb-XEB_PT_Ynzxw4JbIL6K2d4Bno/s1600/DSC00240.JPG" height="255" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
These are the all of the bits that you will need to make the sheep treat box. I did cut another very small black circle which is not on the photo as I decided to add a nose at the end!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpHVImHA1WK4-VAN5MhuLfO7HhhuEVKo2t9KqGWqFUPZSbYe5QsuALDhZSQ9NF7GIzaDi1wm6ydPlQRbQP8WRmI4jV6vqxlpXVDj9TP3zAKe2RTmipfW48t_xJKnLDfpl4n2Kv5IuoGWk/s1600/DSC00238.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpHVImHA1WK4-VAN5MhuLfO7HhhuEVKo2t9KqGWqFUPZSbYe5QsuALDhZSQ9NF7GIzaDi1wm6ydPlQRbQP8WRmI4jV6vqxlpXVDj9TP3zAKe2RTmipfW48t_xJKnLDfpl4n2Kv5IuoGWk/s1600/DSC00238.JPG" height="276" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For the front body part I punched out a white scalloped circle and embossed it using Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used a small Spellbinders flower die and cut out 3 in white card for the fleecy bit on top of the head, I also embossed these to give some texture.<br />
<br />
The head was made by punching out a 3.5cm square in black card - I used my corner chomper to round one of the corners and then cut the opposite corner off completely.<br />
<br />
The ears were made using the wing from the Build a Bird punch from Stampin Up.<br />
<br />
The eyes need to be smaller than the ones I made for the owl box so you will need to find 2 different sized small circle punches or dies.<br />
<br />
Lastly, for the legs I used the Word Window punch from Stampin up and cut it in black card which I then cut in half.<br />
<br />
To start take the legs and stick them towards the bottom of one of the panels which has the loop top.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPVDJzazAQBV3xhTYj6D_fw4IjokzTIbHEHYKUV5Yp3XLqWGli9Pe1L4RRYehrOI_NSyKF86dioKofGOvw2L-351i8HzpnnAmlMzKksxCZ37i-CyaKbQ4Mvm1zhLDGHrYSez86VzH01s0/s1600/DSC00241.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPVDJzazAQBV3xhTYj6D_fw4IjokzTIbHEHYKUV5Yp3XLqWGli9Pe1L4RRYehrOI_NSyKF86dioKofGOvw2L-351i8HzpnnAmlMzKksxCZ37i-CyaKbQ4Mvm1zhLDGHrYSez86VzH01s0/s1600/DSC00241.JPG" height="244" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now take the scalloped white circle and using your bone tool gently curl it so that it has a nice curve to it. Now add glue on the back of one half and on the other half stick a few foam pads to lift it slightly. You will need to hold this down for a minute or so to make sure the glue sets.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Next comes the face, position this where you want it, not too high as you still have to add the fleecy bits on top of the head!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnfZS1xogrDvT-tReaAA45bJUNFEIFU9UvTRjBXxomgyvtSOwVULcXHjfgG-SiWqAMJhLxjzLvtl4dp-zSG4IEMb6nuEOPPduA-wTZq560YKXdGvWOXo0LydFpozJ12URu2HCY266VRpI/s1600/DSC00244.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnfZS1xogrDvT-tReaAA45bJUNFEIFU9UvTRjBXxomgyvtSOwVULcXHjfgG-SiWqAMJhLxjzLvtl4dp-zSG4IEMb6nuEOPPduA-wTZq560YKXdGvWOXo0LydFpozJ12URu2HCY266VRpI/s1600/DSC00244.JPG" height="235" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Position the ears and put glue on the back of the top section only and stick to the box.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHJwfkK2fAfH97yXN8QqmSm_0eT6GJIWI9YdQz9JYwgerFDWcJg3JV5X-J1hYTvGC5AhnzkSAbX2CsuLTFBCuQHOq11vublLMWoIV0zDGt0EGIuXJ7F08kYML6pn_WFyVBOy_3TUgxNb4/s1600/DSC00246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHJwfkK2fAfH97yXN8QqmSm_0eT6GJIWI9YdQz9JYwgerFDWcJg3JV5X-J1hYTvGC5AhnzkSAbX2CsuLTFBCuQHOq11vublLMWoIV0zDGt0EGIuXJ7F08kYML6pn_WFyVBOy_3TUgxNb4/s1600/DSC00246.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Take the 3 small flower shapes and stick them at the top of the head.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBe9XfJW-DkdmV_0DNg15NbkHGRzhts2Y_z5E4V46vypRbDbid5Stv44tykThyfGYmXb8voarL9xDOgT1zxideGtG3N8zMFPGLYLP4lHrpBQH9IbdY2IV8pu9UvCsEi-9v-6ZNps_jkkM/s1600/DSC00247.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBe9XfJW-DkdmV_0DNg15NbkHGRzhts2Y_z5E4V46vypRbDbid5Stv44tykThyfGYmXb8voarL9xDOgT1zxideGtG3N8zMFPGLYLP4lHrpBQH9IbdY2IV8pu9UvCsEi-9v-6ZNps_jkkM/s1600/DSC00247.JPG" height="231" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
You are ready to put the eyes on now - decide where you want them and stick with glue. Now when I got to this stage I decided my sheep needed a nose so cut a small black circle of card and stuck it on!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY6G-UrzX-A0QU_z2h_9pHpI0IbYMB77o7GhkpvaQVNTLrKSB2SI2vxea54QwBHUUAcBbX1fG-H2WAw-RgqE7RczfgyNd09H2dWr098h566ejfnUnf1qGP4MaFjUrfe3yXwqB6UYl0liM/s1600/DSC00251.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY6G-UrzX-A0QU_z2h_9pHpI0IbYMB77o7GhkpvaQVNTLrKSB2SI2vxea54QwBHUUAcBbX1fG-H2WAw-RgqE7RczfgyNd09H2dWr098h566ejfnUnf1qGP4MaFjUrfe3yXwqB6UYl0liM/s1600/DSC00251.JPG" height="237" width="320" /></a></div>

This is the most versatile die I have ever owned as you can make so many different styles of boxes with it!! <br />
<br />
Look at these gorgeously, cute owl boxes I made!! I'm in love with them!! There are many different versions on Pinterest and this is what I have come up with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8dyav07kYr8rXtpX7wBIsGHB5v6qzyExREGs9T46DkPXUZhpGjJ5sDvcJz0PxtPPeiZJPKEHBQBZRFgG-q3fQ2jUSFj4QqS-uGkzrfbDKH1hGF-4k3jU4SqRH6E89iyGWiPtVZFDo4gw/s1600/DSC00226.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8dyav07kYr8rXtpX7wBIsGHB5v6qzyExREGs9T46DkPXUZhpGjJ5sDvcJz0PxtPPeiZJPKEHBQBZRFgG-q3fQ2jUSFj4QqS-uGkzrfbDKH1hGF-4k3jU4SqRH6E89iyGWiPtVZFDo4gw/s1600/DSC00226.JPG" height="211" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Would you like to know how to make them?<br />
<br />
You will need the Curvy Keepsake Die from Stampin Up but for everything else you can improvise!<br />
<br />
So the die itself looks like this - you need to cut 2 pieces out for your basic box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaBzzb6928e_FRJpMLVkEI38gw5CxUP6_3Rpr0pURWqPl5jxMxbhUE-SrocWVTHd_illi6p1h9rOhKfiafxnf3_hZK9fBHLnX4cROmwgHvXsw7yP8tFGzypNFuQGbb6g517cQrVEzTJvA/s1600/DSC00209.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaBzzb6928e_FRJpMLVkEI38gw5CxUP6_3Rpr0pURWqPl5jxMxbhUE-SrocWVTHd_illi6p1h9rOhKfiafxnf3_hZK9fBHLnX4cROmwgHvXsw7yP8tFGzypNFuQGbb6g517cQrVEzTJvA/s1600/DSC00209.JPG" height="208" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLB402Ko-XFsQ7sA9bwNAog3d1o1KiAHSlLwIeSsuRYHLsT_mmhnFsXS022B-B5doxC4egXerN2tejETmySAR-oMWdXaZV7U0htnyCdiViEhfLsTxSUEDGHAitmtTioMo0D5nZp3t4Ooc/s1600/DSC00208.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLB402Ko-XFsQ7sA9bwNAog3d1o1KiAHSlLwIeSsuRYHLsT_mmhnFsXS022B-B5doxC4egXerN2tejETmySAR-oMWdXaZV7U0htnyCdiViEhfLsTxSUEDGHAitmtTioMo0D5nZp3t4Ooc/s1600/DSC00208.JPG" height="219" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The other components that you will need<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA6QVHUo2iYcgq5b1L_LYW1n5Q3k4TyQl5Tdc4233BiUlYtGW8oKCvVaEYdSE0TSD9Gy9VqVQaWPqhkRaWkPjygVvWTdELjVqDkSLlE6Ck3KZ9_i5Xval3yZdPRch0R5uC4vUWvO6YasI/s1600/DSC00210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhA6QVHUo2iYcgq5b1L_LYW1n5Q3k4TyQl5Tdc4233BiUlYtGW8oKCvVaEYdSE0TSD9Gy9VqVQaWPqhkRaWkPjygVvWTdELjVqDkSLlE6Ck3KZ9_i5Xval3yZdPRch0R5uC4vUWvO6YasI/s1600/DSC00210.JPG" height="228" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Wings</b> - I used a scalloped edge oval die from Spellbinders</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Eyes</b> - I used a small flowery shape for the white part of the eyeball (you can just about see them in the pic). For the iris, I used a small circle (from my Sizzix Owl die as I didn't have a punch this size!) and for the pupil I used a smaller circle punch (Hobbycraft)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Chest</b> - I used a small x-cut circle die and some patterned designer paper</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Beak</b> - I used the beak from my Sizzix Owl die and cut it down to a triangle to make it abit smaller</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Feet</b> - these were made from punching out flowers using the Stampin Up Petite Petals punch.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once you have cut out your 2 Curvy Keepsake diecut,s you need to fold where marked by the die and then take you bone folder and curl each part inwards to give it shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7_Sk2i_-jQdrbL3dDx7joqg25nMQZsZ-qbUE6z0KxbAPfkhMjo1-mR8SusOJkRyUsxPLf6zj9gs059Cu3o6HCMMlJp3be1xUtAXdTMVVWWEVsFJwZTcp6RpxNwXielSWoyTAr8D7egDs/s1600/DSC00211.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7_Sk2i_-jQdrbL3dDx7joqg25nMQZsZ-qbUE6z0KxbAPfkhMjo1-mR8SusOJkRyUsxPLf6zj9gs059Cu3o6HCMMlJp3be1xUtAXdTMVVWWEVsFJwZTcp6RpxNwXielSWoyTAr8D7egDs/s1600/DSC00211.JPG" height="225" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You then need to stick the 2 base parts together. I use Impex Original Hi-Tac All Purpose Very Sticky glue as it is a favourite of mine as it sticks well and is strong.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil0jFU9jY_MwVbjQVHkxhj9e5ikl-B8vGqMv2d08c0LrqqlFisV-awq4lUvpvS2kOrmgPlsCNJf_-4rsizedO8wohb3UNIndoDzx4yRmlonRLqw-exO_keJke8GIICmbAkArSqnEu3b7Y/s1600/DSC00212.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil0jFU9jY_MwVbjQVHkxhj9e5ikl-B8vGqMv2d08c0LrqqlFisV-awq4lUvpvS2kOrmgPlsCNJf_-4rsizedO8wohb3UNIndoDzx4yRmlonRLqw-exO_keJke8GIICmbAkArSqnEu3b7Y/s1600/DSC00212.JPG" height="215" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now take the circle of designer paper and cut the top of it off so that you have a straight edge. You can hold the circle against the side of the box which has the loopy handles on to see how much you need to remove.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR1hLXKRLN2BlLyk4UrhenxwAC5r3HgAiAfSq3F2ffLtN6-pXlugurEOTAVCC0533YLymHBUILLeP2npLZva0-Ks1rEAhd0fTw1lavBpmrdfCCvoWM46r3NLStRgx3AFhRZc4lZMarxHY/s1600/DSC00213.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR1hLXKRLN2BlLyk4UrhenxwAC5r3HgAiAfSq3F2ffLtN6-pXlugurEOTAVCC0533YLymHBUILLeP2npLZva0-Ks1rEAhd0fTw1lavBpmrdfCCvoWM46r3NLStRgx3AFhRZc4lZMarxHY/s1600/DSC00213.JPG" height="214" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Decide which side of the box you would like to be the front (loopy handles side is your front) and then stick the patterned paper onto the box with the straight edge right up to the bottom edge of the box. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0TF-khSv4SnEMkz5vRIjz7KFs76ZQE6cnt69soxw4082k9XqF_vniHO8c3HWhXTcV_sysMWsE6tYzLE86z_fZ36RA1Nyr2wnkFE3FLZN0166t2iETO3J45HmASuDAMe8fmVH4YJO-5sw/s1600/DSC00214.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0TF-khSv4SnEMkz5vRIjz7KFs76ZQE6cnt69soxw4082k9XqF_vniHO8c3HWhXTcV_sysMWsE6tYzLE86z_fZ36RA1Nyr2wnkFE3FLZN0166t2iETO3J45HmASuDAMe8fmVH4YJO-5sw/s1600/DSC00214.JPG" height="212" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next you stick on the beak</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtTatDleOtjyrQfJmwTWQumd9SXRig-6vPcz71UgnvxSOhf0qDkHkoqJlFyFQBDKRQkq1gC44JY3O6k69IfEurvJb3noRZbSj9BVs8cDLSmozjzOvaUAKkucahx5i8MGHrf-0JWwr_v_8/s1600/DSC00215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtTatDleOtjyrQfJmwTWQumd9SXRig-6vPcz71UgnvxSOhf0qDkHkoqJlFyFQBDKRQkq1gC44JY3O6k69IfEurvJb3noRZbSj9BVs8cDLSmozjzOvaUAKkucahx5i8MGHrf-0JWwr_v_8/s1600/DSC00215.JPG" height="230" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<br />
Now we come to the wings - you need to fold over a small bit at the top of each wing.<br />
<br />
For the eyes stick the black circle onto the coloured (iris part) circle and with a white gel pen mark on the black circle. You then stick this onto the white eyeball part of the eye - see pic below. (sorry light was not great when I took pics!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWjw_cvA8TSImJi3aVKdcmR1Nz4dbW5CKmXqy4g0U-emjq306kETgivUl4nB4AnRDYUEoMtX0YnbauZ79D2oAHjDwTazs1eZvTsYnIpHD1lZlNjx_q9yx0QFIbjUjrEAfLzG_xn2gh710/s1600/DSC00216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWjw_cvA8TSImJi3aVKdcmR1Nz4dbW5CKmXqy4g0U-emjq306kETgivUl4nB4AnRDYUEoMtX0YnbauZ79D2oAHjDwTazs1eZvTsYnIpHD1lZlNjx_q9yx0QFIbjUjrEAfLzG_xn2gh710/s1600/DSC00216.JPG" height="228" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Take the wings and with your bone folder curl each wing outwards.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVfjMgYqSCYyGkPd8uoR3Epefr4Oi6YdG03Zr1usSBpDDSworQ0hAUD-In11eH7sq8-IUM3bIinrnc8NyIf-mJml7ygw2Xd_VIbkQviam6aNbd5XWk0doAqVKwkXWEeDlLS6wg81YJxtI/s1600/DSC00217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVfjMgYqSCYyGkPd8uoR3Epefr4Oi6YdG03Zr1usSBpDDSworQ0hAUD-In11eH7sq8-IUM3bIinrnc8NyIf-mJml7ygw2Xd_VIbkQviam6aNbd5XWk0doAqVKwkXWEeDlLS6wg81YJxtI/s1600/DSC00217.JPG" height="197" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Position the wings and put your glue on the bit that you have folded over and underneath this little folded tab. Stick a wing each side, taking care not to put them too high up as otherwise they will interfere with the opening and closing of the box. you will need to hold each wing in place for a few minutes until the glue sets.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4qdaxLuhyphenhyphenND1kWx5lOF1TVE_QILOb3MSJur4GJAv4MQXATK8ae_aeHGq_GFSi7oTrREU0tHV5QaV5PKOd5BLPFuv3CeeDkVT8_oraFsCscHXz8LeeQEX-9ElKDFAtmej2w5CaNCnWJlQ/s1600/DSC00218.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4qdaxLuhyphenhyphenND1kWx5lOF1TVE_QILOb3MSJur4GJAv4MQXATK8ae_aeHGq_GFSi7oTrREU0tHV5QaV5PKOd5BLPFuv3CeeDkVT8_oraFsCscHXz8LeeQEX-9ElKDFAtmej2w5CaNCnWJlQ/s1600/DSC00218.JPG" height="212" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now all that is left to do is add the feet. Position them so that they are equally spaced and then apply glue to 2 of the petals and then stick underneath so that only the 3 unglued petals are showing.<br />

Good thing Easter is just around the corner.<br />
<br />
Today, I wanted to show you this fabulously, versatile box die from Stampin Up called the Curvy Keepsake Box. It is a thinlits die set comprising of the main box die along with some tags.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhidw5HF9wyzxgWLE1txdCyD2AxpEvc8-dLL8NFp9jA78Wzcsnw3QcGMLfQ_hfD8p3ccQR3cMHrBxvmrlx6W2zbiFlsepdWDcwQ3_JZ4yEPPW8QzzJFP3Bxl9HMc7r4OeRWPMn6XvaRgNA/s1600/2015-03-17+11.31.01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhidw5HF9wyzxgWLE1txdCyD2AxpEvc8-dLL8NFp9jA78Wzcsnw3QcGMLfQ_hfD8p3ccQR3cMHrBxvmrlx6W2zbiFlsepdWDcwQ3_JZ4yEPPW8QzzJFP3Bxl9HMc7r4OeRWPMn6XvaRgNA/s1600/2015-03-17+11.31.01.jpg" height="296" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
You need to cut 2 of the box panels and then you simply stick them together so that you have the same sides facing each other. The basic box is cute but looks even nicer when decorated.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwa_Hrj_ShaDOXtcRqbW70TWk7f30aRJvDZJHLzGQ8BVfLK2R7HUFgZW639E-yVn3Ut_LP21HyknUy9F48K5NDegilrW-7LUS8jQ-G0Agmp9Ep422NR0Irtea8ukC-D_Zf8-Q4teXTk5I/s1600/DSC00113.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwa_Hrj_ShaDOXtcRqbW70TWk7f30aRJvDZJHLzGQ8BVfLK2R7HUFgZW639E-yVn3Ut_LP21HyknUy9F48K5NDegilrW-7LUS8jQ-G0Agmp9Ep422NR0Irtea8ukC-D_Zf8-Q4teXTk5I/s1600/DSC00113.JPG" height="242" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
With help of punches and dies, you can make up all sorts of designs. Have a look on Pinterest, it is full of them! I have set a board up decdicated to Curvey Keepsake ideas - you can find it <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/anjali100/curvy-keepsake-die-ideas/">here</a>.<br />
<br />
I liked this tutorial so have based mine on it - it is from Sam at <a href="http://www.samssentiments.co.uk/2015/02/easter-bunny-curvy-keepsake-gift-box.html">Sam's Sentiments</a>.<br />
<br />
Here are the ones that I made<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRP1fNw0TzN31Z9y0Ca58GTm0no920pkMmtMLaWv8UtF-5QNbL3h-Z7S6ga8oJcd7XV0tgBrAoqENGyMJrYo9NMQq3Qt_KI8ValvMX7YBjgykJ1jrDZvf0BMVp7EcFNCBQw3BGIlIlEzc/s1600/DSC00111.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRP1fNw0TzN31Z9y0Ca58GTm0no920pkMmtMLaWv8UtF-5QNbL3h-Z7S6ga8oJcd7XV0tgBrAoqENGyMJrYo9NMQq3Qt_KI8ValvMX7YBjgykJ1jrDZvf0BMVp7EcFNCBQw3BGIlIlEzc/s1600/DSC00111.JPG" height="221" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used Spellbinders ovals for the ears as I don't have any oval punches!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLl8SDAOzg3HZeeJyaJWi4u4YRp58_CjuPKDBmW6Zpd7_SpZg0OKAkFKlp5dg_6YkuSVOETPBYfqm5gA9MNub2QIFtX5bjUsZXdYkZEdDyi2FzVF6NaHd0l8zrlt7aP8Tkahqty6fo29U/s1600/DSC00115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLl8SDAOzg3HZeeJyaJWi4u4YRp58_CjuPKDBmW6Zpd7_SpZg0OKAkFKlp5dg_6YkuSVOETPBYfqm5gA9MNub2QIFtX5bjUsZXdYkZEdDyi2FzVF6NaHd0l8zrlt7aP8Tkahqty6fo29U/s1600/DSC00115.JPG" height="320" width="293" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvVJPE9rom7cx_uOkZZGcTSqcHJE0rPYbFJxyl6yQQSRAZJouhgnIyE79tklNlEmpZBus9fcGfKUEUrzlyfoGy5KzWjec2F6DmPVBkdYSPdKWLwVVzy2H2zQMUKt56YKu7A8RhjfB1Nl4/s1600/DSC00116.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvVJPE9rom7cx_uOkZZGcTSqcHJE0rPYbFJxyl6yQQSRAZJouhgnIyE79tklNlEmpZBus9fcGfKUEUrzlyfoGy5KzWjec2F6DmPVBkdYSPdKWLwVVzy2H2zQMUKt56YKu7A8RhjfB1Nl4/s1600/DSC00116.JPG" height="296" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I filled them with 10 of the little chocolate eggs from Lidl. I had to get some more yesterday as I had eaten some of the last lot!!! They were still on offer £2 for 2 bags or £1.29 a pack.<br />
<br />
I love these little boxes and I am sure I will be making some more designs soon.<br />
<br />
If you are in the UK, the die can be purchased from my friend Tracey George <a href="http://www2.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=135853">here</a>. <br />

It doesn't seem 5 mins ago that it was Christmas. I am glad the Winter is behind us now although it is still abit wet and chilly. The mornings and nights are getting lighter as well which is great!<br />
<br />
I love making boxes but just don't get enough times when I need them! I had seen some tiny little milk carton boxes on <a href="http://pootles.co.uk/2015/03/11/tiny-milk-carton-easter-egg-boxes/">Pootles Blog</a> and thought they we lovely. Sadly they were alittle too small for what I wanted but fear not as Sam, the lady behind Pootles had other sizes on her blog to make. I used this <a href="http://pootles.co.uk/2014/07/14/mini-milk-carton-and-carrier-tutorial-part-one/">one</a> for the size but copied the idea of having round cutouts on each side from the tiny milk carton tutorial. Both tutorials have videos to go with them. Pop along to Sam's <a href="http://pootles.co.uk/">blog</a> for more info!<br />
<br />
Back to the ones I made. I wanted to put little eggs in mine and they were just right for the mini milk carton. I used a 1 inch circle punch for the cutouts but this meant that my eggs fell out as they were smaller so I punched out 4 squares of acetate that were alittle bigger than the circle hole and stuck them on the inside of each side panel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVYO6KiyUpfruKZJEAMrsTwLLE-01BpjPJ8nYJsE9qE3H5f_2cWUdv8wrLJH_5utcgYX2eOCHm5kHMUcuD4cgkNnMnbAbxKUz2n-0B-npPPlKxnSXXppow4FCeaSQ4eq62Gec4FrWQrXI/s1600/DSC00096.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVYO6KiyUpfruKZJEAMrsTwLLE-01BpjPJ8nYJsE9qE3H5f_2cWUdv8wrLJH_5utcgYX2eOCHm5kHMUcuD4cgkNnMnbAbxKUz2n-0B-npPPlKxnSXXppow4FCeaSQ4eq62Gec4FrWQrXI/s1600/DSC00096.JPG" height="247" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
To decorate, I made a little chick from the Stampin Up! Build a Bird punch. I trimmed the tail of the bird to make it look more like a chick. I then stuck it on the little peg. I also punched out a few flowers and stuck these either side of the circle cutout at the front of the carton.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I filled them up with some solid chocolate eggs that I bought in Lidl. They are on offer at the moment so were 2 packs for £2. Each pack is 200g and you get loads of little eggs in bag. the foils were nice colours as well - turquoise, pink, green and gold.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The above photo was obviously after I had taken out the blue and majority of the pink ones!! I tasted them to see how they conmpared to Cadburys and to be honest I probably would not know the difference!<br />
<br />
10 eggs fitted nicely into the milk cartons though you could fit more in if you wanted to.<br />
<br />

I am back after a long break! I started a job and it seemed to take up all of my time and left me with no time to craft! It's only a temporary contract and due to end soon so hopefully I will be able to start crafting again!!<br />
<br />
I've bought some nice crafting bits recently - this beauty arrived today!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPf0IXM8FG-Ga21OqRriYrBH-gdnu5di-sHRCMOeyufzYkAtG5_m9SIJLjcHGtkwMnAj3EduGNNs69llY3A5iVjtv_2_-QhRIfZXSBw98oDk3bK3HTxuZiR9ZvQDzISSuA_xNUDUgF7Qk/s1600/DSC00002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPf0IXM8FG-Ga21OqRriYrBH-gdnu5di-sHRCMOeyufzYkAtG5_m9SIJLjcHGtkwMnAj3EduGNNs69llY3A5iVjtv_2_-QhRIfZXSBw98oDk3bK3HTxuZiR9ZvQDzISSuA_xNUDUgF7Qk/s1600/DSC00002.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVSgs2HvOdFlzbwGC83x9t-8CqeLK3Qr2ePJ5yYhvKUygkMRTbjXIeV2scjMM6mXiMofpoEkwhzHC7Xe1OgO6meB2I8DdVrdMvUJBx5AfO2Wu6GcXnTZzJFac5LYDLbcJXoSojuD70rj0/s1600/basket.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
I've been looking at it for weeks and tried to order it from the US through BIC on Amazon but they had advertised it incorrectly and then changed the photo to something else so the die that arrived was the wrong one. Very disappointing! Anyway I ordered it from Countryview Crafts for £18.99 - the die is a lovely little basket and just perfect to put chocolates in for Easter. It is the Sizzix Basket #2 659897 and it is a 'L' sized die so works without the need for extended cutting pads.<br />
<br />
This little basket measures approx just under 11.5cm long at it's longest part and 6cm wide and 6cm depth so a very usable size. The die is a Bigz die and it creases the folds and punches out the holes for the brads to go in to hold it together so very little work left to do! You just cut 2 of the main part and stick one on top of the other so that you have the triangle parts on both sides. You then bring up the 2 triangle side pieces and line them up with the middle triangle piece and the holes on your handle and insert a brad. Once you have done this on both sides you have your basket!<br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I had a play with this die and made a larger basket by cutting out 4 of the main basket part and sticking 2 together for each side of the basket. I overlapped them so that I had a base double the size of the smaller basket. See pic below<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi08vgO_Rfi_Le2ltxTk2kMZGpI-pnvyc3GH2IN888uCoKM3LGLR68LAJbWZuMimag9CV0Tm5cj68T6P0Gw7XKcq3PIpfgBJe8vTnqcxw3mNO2-Ll0EkAXE2JNsiK196dTkPURYnQwFQdw/s1600/2015-02-21+12.12.41-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi08vgO_Rfi_Le2ltxTk2kMZGpI-pnvyc3GH2IN888uCoKM3LGLR68LAJbWZuMimag9CV0Tm5cj68T6P0Gw7XKcq3PIpfgBJe8vTnqcxw3mNO2-Ll0EkAXE2JNsiK196dTkPURYnQwFQdw/s1600/2015-02-21+12.12.41-1.jpg" height="157" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I pulled up the 2 triangle pieces on each side and put a brad in through the holes. This left a large gap in the middle between the 2 ends so I cut 2 strips of card from the spare handle die cuts and punched a hole in either end and put through the brad that I had put through the side pieces. I then took 2 o the handle diecuts and glued them together to give me a longer length. I punched a hole in either end of the basket and handles and fixed them on with a brad.<br />
<br />
The finished result is a different type of basket that is much larger - 18cm in length and quite sturdy.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
**Note this is a rough prototype made with cheap card and I used brass fasteners just to test it out to save wasting nice brads! I will make it using nice card when I have more time!<br />

Hope you like thiis cuter die as much as I do!!!</div>

<br />
The Christmas market was last Saturday and was a great success. We had some fantastic sellers and a brilliant crowd of people that came along to support us. It was a very busy day and everyone that took part enjoyed themselves.<br />
<br />
Now I can relax and have time for other things like Christmas shopping! Yikes I have only just started mine!! Will be off into town today to try and get as much done as possible!<br />
<br />
Yesterday I made my Mincemeat Christmas cake - I just need to feed it lots of brandy and get some marzipan to cover it with! We don't like icing so it will just be marzipan for us! Very easy recipe and you can find it <a href="http://bumblebeescraftden.blogspot.co.uk/p/sweet-mincemeat-christmas-cake.html">here</a>. It's a quick and easy alternative to traditional Christmas cake!<br />
<br />
I thought I would share with you some of the tree decorations that I have made this year.<br />

I've been making something different with flannels or washcloths if you are not in the UK! Flannel Crackers! I made a few up to see what they looked like and was pleased with the result so took them along to a craft table last Saturday and they seemed to go down well. So this year I will have reindeers and crackers made from flannels and I am using the most gorgeous smelling soap ever to go inside of them - Johnson Baby Soap with Honey. I think I may start putting a bar of it in my clothes drawers, a lovely fragrance every time I opened the drawers!!<br />
<br />
Anyway, here is the finished flannel cracker - abit more adult than the reindeers!!<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzqp-ZYLPDlfHeycjg2c9uEN2JqlkBEolaHcIzb4MNR1pnzy3xFAwWAD_GxLiGdtChNQdb7yyyeC7WCY9yh0NYbTkkrSyLPUmJMPLNlu5xqyC5_pXtBqHRA_ecQM0N5KhGto6FLDy870g/s1600/DSC09853.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzqp-ZYLPDlfHeycjg2c9uEN2JqlkBEolaHcIzb4MNR1pnzy3xFAwWAD_GxLiGdtChNQdb7yyyeC7WCY9yh0NYbTkkrSyLPUmJMPLNlu5xqyC5_pXtBqHRA_ecQM0N5KhGto6FLDy870g/s1600/DSC09853.JPG" height="189" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I made a sleeve to go around them and glittered up a holly die cut and added ribbon to the ends. I'm doing some different coloured ones as well and I think I will put little die cut gingerbread men on those!<br />
<br />
These are easy to do - you just wrap your flannel around your soap and put an elastic band on each end!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you like them as much as I do!! </div>
<br />
