Recent Makes

Well - I've made a mixture of things this last week!!!  I made a couple of cards, the first is decoupage and looks much nicer than it does in the photo!!!  I didn't seem to be able to capture the card well!!  The second card is a shabby chic Union Jack card - was feeling patriotic and had a fiddle with a flag image.  I'm pleased with the result, my sister wants this one, she wants to frame it to go with her collection of shabby chic Union Jack things!!!

I also made a sock monkey - he is an England supporter and is ready for the World Cup with his red and white scarf.

Another Shabby Chic Door Hanger

Spent today making a door hanger from some lovely cherry fabric that I bought in the US.  The fabric there is so pretty.  Took me ages as did it all by hand again!!

I've decided to list these on Folksy to see if there is any interest!!

Shabby Chic Heart Door Hanger

Well - I've been doing abit of sewing this week!!  I bought some lovely strawberry fabric when I went into town so decided to make a door hanger.

I found a very small heart template from an old Tesco magazine which I enlarged.  I used some country check ribbon to make a rosette to which I added a button and some rustic looking string.

This is the result

Both are made with glass beads and silver plated findings and chain and toggle clasp.

Butterfly Easel Card

I had seen a tutorial for this a while back and been meaning to try it!!  I made the template up and thought I would do it yesterday.  It took a while to do as the butterfly was cut by hand on the cardstock and the backing paper.  I used Tim Holtz Distress inks on the backing paper, flowers and butterflies and also edged with it.  I used an Inkadoo butterfly stamp on the butterfly base.

I used Cardstock from stash
Backing paper from DCWV Sunkissed
Prima Flowers
Buttons from stash
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Tim Holtz Distress inks
