Gorillas in Bristol!

This month Bristol Zoo is celebrating it's 175th Birthday and to do this they have placed 60 brightly decorated, life size gorilla sculptures all around the city and at local tourist spots.  You can download a map showing the locations of the gorillas and get more info here

The project is called Wow! Gorillas and will be displayed around the city until mid September when they will be auctioned off to raise money for the zoo's gorilla conservation projects and for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal which raises money for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children

I spotted several over the weekend and they look fab!!!  Will need to stop and take photos of them!

Here is a little video of 6 of the gorillas arriving in Bristol by boat

There is also a Facebook page which you can find here

  1. We have 2 over here in Brislington that I have spotted so far, one in the Arnos vale cemetary and one up by pets at home. They are lovely to look at, I loved the weston Donkeys and I also loved the Bath Lions!
