More Paper Flowers!!!!

Ok so decided to try to make some smaller flowers to see how they looked! They are much more fiddley to make especially the very tiny one!!! Here's a pic with a punched cutout next to it to show you what I used and I have put a dime alongside of them to show the sort of side scale.

I prefer the larger flowers personally!!!

Handmade Paper Carnations

I found a great tutorial for flowers made from card here at a Blog called Wendymade & all things Crafty. It was so easy to follow that I had to try it!!! The flowers look great, I was very pleased with the result!!!

Well I'm back on British soil and slowly unpacking my suitcase full of craft stash!!! Here are some photo's of what I have found so far!!! Will post more as I unpack!

The MS punch is fab and was something I bought last minute!!! It will be great for handles on gift boxes or baskets!

Martha Stewart Score Board

I am so pleased that I managed to get my hands on one of these. I wanted one for a while but it was only available at Michael's but not at my local one in Fremont!!! The manager told me that they would be re-vamping the MS section and carrying more of the line so to check again. This week Michael's had a special 50% voucher in their e-newsletter so I went there thinking of getting a MS punch when I suddenly spotted a whole pile of the Scoreboards. They were priced at $19.99 so I got it for $9.99 plus tax - what a bargain. It is very big and has many different size lines. I can't wait to test it out!!!

USA!!!!

Well, I've not made anything new to put onto my blog recently, this is because I have been in the US since 3 February!!!! I have instead been putting my time to good use picking up craft bargains to use when I get back home!!!! I have been lucky as there have been lots of sales here and I found a lovely Japanese version of a pound store!!! I managed to pick up some rolls of felt and some washi paper which gives a lovely rough edged effect when you tear it all for only $1.50!!!!

The craft shops in the US are so much better than the ones that we have in the UK. Apart from being much cheaper, they have a much better range of things. My favourite shops in the US are Jo-anns and Michaels. Jo-anns has an online shop where they have much, much more than they have instore. Unfortunately, they do not take international orders yet!!! I've ordered whilst here and I am now waiting for a scoreboard to come which will allow me to be more experimental with card shapes and handmade boxes. The other good thing about the craft stores here is that there are usually 40-50% off vouchers around that you can use off of one item. This is great if there is an expensive punch or piece of equipment that you need.
