Fairy Card

I remembered that I had bought some silhouette fairy stamps from The Range which had been reduced.    Thought I'd try them out today by making a card using the lovely freebie MME papers.

The stamps are Dovecraft ones I think.  I used a MS punch for the 'Happy Birthday sentiment which I coloured with a pink promarker and then covered in stickles.  The fairy's wings also have stickles on them.  The flower is made up of 3 different colours with card candy in the middle and stickles over it all.

Get Well Card

Well last night I had some inspiration for the Get Well card that I needed to make. As it was for a male friend I didn't want anything cute or slushy!!  I decided that I could use my pocket watch stamp that I bought from the US and I had some backing paper with watches on so I changed the colour to a sepia shade and made the stamp the same sort of colour to give it a vintage feel.  I then had some paper that I got free somewhere on the net with some french text on the back of a postcard.  I then scuffed up the edges of the pocket watch and the sentiment (printed in a brown colour on cream card) and used Distress Ink - tea dye and crushed olive on them to give an old look.  I did the same with the backing paper as it was alittle to brown and fresh looking!!!!

I made up a sentiment to do with time to go with the watch theme!

I'm really pleased with the result - it's the first time I have used the Tim Holtz scuffer tool.

Tilda Birthday Card

This card has been half made since before I went to Marrakech and yesterday I decided it's about time it was finished.  I like the colours but it's one of those cards that you think is just ok!!!  On the hair it look like I have gone over the line on the fringe but there is a very faint line that you can hardly see that I have coloured within!

I used Forever Friends Backing Paper and another paper downloaded free, buttons from stash, my trusty MS Doilly punch and my new butterfly punch.  I used Anita's 3D gloss on the bottle, bag and shoes and stickles on the socks, label and bows.

Here is the result

Another Wedding Card!

Here is the second Wedding card that I finished today - I used the same image, backing paper etc but made it slightly different!

Wedding Card

After about 1 week of not making any cards and not being at all motivated to make any, I decided I needed to make some wedding cards as I have none in my box of cards to sell!!!

So far I have only made one but I am pleased with it as it's abit different to my normal type of card.

I used some grey flourish backing paper and a birdcage image which I downloaded free, some paper flowers which I made frilly with patterned scissors, my MS Doilly punch and some stick on pearl things that I have had for ages!!  I then stickled it all and used some card candy.

Here it is

Pink Beaded Watch

Well - after making the watch for Tammy, I decided I wanted to make a pink one!!!  I have used glass beads and some silver plated findings.

This one will be looking for a home so will be put into my Facebook Shop shortly - if you are not already a fan, come on over and have a look here!!

Bakery Charm Bracelet

Just thought I'd show you a bracelet that I made for an order.  I used some of the fimo cake charms that I made a few weeks back along with some Tibetan Silver ones in between.

It's for a 9 year old girl so I hope she will be pleased with it!

Birthday Card for my Niece and a Cupcake Box

It was my niece's 9th birthday today so I made her this card using a freebie digi and the papers are from The Range.  I used Anita's 3D gloss and stickles on the digi and some pink glitter glue on her top.  I coloured the sentiment with Promarkers to match the rest of the card.

I also made this little cupcake box to put her cupcake charm bracelet in that I had made for her.

Green Beaded Watch for Tammy!!!!

I've just finished making a watch for Tammy aka Rustyflange on MSE.  As green is her favourite colour she asked if I could make her a green beaded bracelet for the watch strap.

Here is the finished result

Hope you like it Tammy!!!!!

Little Boxes and Bag Charms

This week is my niece Issy's 9th Birthday.  As a little surprise I made some bag charms and little boxes for them to go in so that she could give them to her friends at her party.

I made the bag charms using plastic beads as these are more suitable for children.  I never use plastic normally as I prefer glass beads.

The little boxes are takeout style with punched butterflies done with my new punch.  The butterflies have been decorated with stickle glue.

My niece was thrilled with them - hopefully her party guests will be as well!!!

A Charm Bracelet Becomes A Charm Necklace!!!!

Someone liked a charm bracelet that I had made but asked if I had a necklace the same.  As all of my items are one off's I generally don't buy multiples of beads and tend to make them up as I go.  I decided that I would see how the bracelet would look if I added some more bits and turned it into a necklace.

Here is how it looked as a bracelet

and here is how it looks now as a necklace.

I am really pleased with how it turned out and have put it in my Facebook shop for sale!

Marrakech

I've not posted recently as I was in Marrakech for a few days.  Had a lovely time although it was abit marred by the inefficient service from Ryannair.  There were some lovely handicrafts in the souks, and some beautiful bright colours.

We stayed at a lovely Moroccan style house called a Riad - very chic and stylish, run by a French couple.  The house was within the Medina walls and we had to walk down lots of winding small lanes to reach it.  There was a sun terrace with a jacuzzi on the roof which was lovely as the weather was around 43 degrees!!!

We ate out in the main square on food stalls where the food was stacked up and cooked as you ordered.

One thing we didn't try was the boiled sheep's head!!!!

We saw some beautiful decorative doorways and lovely tiled fountains.

Competition Win!!!!

I have just received my lovely prize from Heidi over at The Crafty Goat Girl blog.  She ran a competion a week or so back to guess how many buttons were in her button container.  There were loads and loads!!!!  I have never seen so many buttons in one place!!!  It took her daughter Georgia nearly 2 hours to count the buttons!!!!!  I made a guess that there were 3250 buttons in the box and the actual amount was 3194!!!!!  Not a bad guess eh!!!

Here is my prize - Heidi kindly sent me an extra stamp as well!!!

Thanks Heidi!
