Lace Tape!!!

For anyone not keen on paying the huge postage costs at Cox and Cox for lace tape, here is a cheaper alternative, I've just ordered a roll myself!!!  £2.50 with free postage!!!!

They also have a wider width one available in several designs for £4.99 with free postage.  Forgot to say it's coming from China!

Go on - you know you want it!!!!

Lace Sellotape!!

Following on from my last post when I showed you the lovely lacey sellotape that Bee Happy used on my prize parcels, Deb has said that she got it from Cox And Cox but thinks that John Lewis might sell it as well!!  I have been investigating and found some others that are available with input by Claire at What Shall I make Today!!

I Won Over at Bee Happy!!!!

I was lucky enough to win some lovely candy over at Bee Happy and it arrived today.  Pop over and have a look at Bee Happy!

All of the things were wrapped individually in brown paper and sealed with some gorgeous tape with a lace design on it.  Deb if you are reading this perhaps you can tell me where this is from as it is so pretty!!!!

Fab Union Jack Mug!!!!!!

Just a quick one from me tonight for all you Union Jack fans!!!!

I got myself this fabby mug today in Wilkinsons for just 99p - what an absolute bargain!!!!  They also had ones with the RAF target design on which was not so appealing to me!!!

So be quick, cause at this price, they aren't going to be around for long!!!!!!

Birdcage Card Holder

Just a quick one.  I've seen this gorgeous wire card/memo holder in the shape of a birdcage and I've fallen in love with it but not with the price unfortunately!!!

It is available from here for £39.95 plus £5.95 postage!!!!!  Much too much money for me to part with so I will just have to keep dreaming or look for a cheaper (much!!!) alternative!!!! 

If anyone sees one of these at a bargain price or something similar, I'd love to hear about it!!!!

Birdcage Card

I'm afraid I haven't been doing much in the way of crafting recently as the weather has been so nice and I have been out and about alot!!!

Here is a card that I made using the fabulous Tim Holtz Bird in a Cage diecut, kindly sent to me by Claire over at What Shall I Make Today  - pop over and see some of her fantastic creations.

This card was made for my brother and his wife for their wedding anniversary.

I coloured the cage using a gold promarker and then I heat embossed it using gold powder with a little bit of black to create a gilded effect.  I then attached some antique gold chain to the bottom of the cage and to the top.  For the bird I used a sponge with pink distress ink and edged it with ink as well.  I then mounted it onto a mat made using Nesties labels 1.  I used papers from a wedding set of papers which I think were from Papermania.  The vine leaves were cut using a Sizzix die and I used some paper roses to decorate.  I also cut out my brother and his wife's intial and stuck this onto the mat to personalise it.  I decided not to use a sentiment as I felt there was enough happening on the card.

I really love this card and think that it is probably one of my best cards!!  It's the first time that I've tried heat embossing as well so I was impressed with that technique and will use it again.
