Bracelets and Brooches!!

I have been making jewellery this week to sell on Folksy and Facebook.

I did some heavy glass bead charm bracelets with toggle clasps, some memory wire bracelets and a brooch.

Will be listing them on Folky and Facebook tomorrow.

Stair Step Card

Finally able to blog this card that I made for my brother's wedding anniversary!!!

This is the first time that I have made a stair step card - the link for the tutorial was kindly posted by rainmac over on MSE and it was so easy and the finished card was very effective.

I used butterflies that were kindly sent to me by Caroline over on MSE - she has sent me 2 different design and I will be using the other ones on other cards.

I used distress ink to colour the butterflies and then added gems and wire which I curled.  I also used the distress ink to colour the Prima flowers as they were more pink than purple.

The cardstock was from Payperbox which I got at the Ally Pally and I used my MS Doily punch.

Corset Card

After seeing a card posted on MSE with a corset on it, I remembered that I had a slightly different corset template so I decided to make it quite big and decorate it and then put it onto a gatefold card.  I have not made a gatefold before so was keen to try it out!!!!  There are sequins on the corset and on the lace at the top of the card.

I am really pleased with the result, have left it blank as I feel a sentiment would spoil the card!!!

I used some polka dot card that I got at the Ally Pally from payperbox, some black lace from stash which I chopped up, ribbon, heart button and sequins from stash, polka dot backing paper d/l free from net - colour altered to match project.

Baby Girl Card

I was asked to make a card for a new baby girl being born next month.  I already had one made with the usual pram design but thought I would make another so that the person can choose which card they prefer.
I'm really please with the result, it looks better than in the photo as it was dark when took the photo.

I used paper downloaded from the web, ribbon, peel offs, pegs and I used my MS Doily punch.

Distress Inks

I have just received my Distress Inks order from Oyster Stamps.  I am really pleased with the fantastic service from them.  I only ordered the inks by phone yesterday afternoon and they are already with me.  They were such a bargain as there is a special offer on for just £3 each and free postage for the month of April.

Cupcake Card

I was looking at Mel Stampz - someone on MSE had kindly posted the link and saw that she also mentioned cupcakes so I used her template and altered it so that it was alot bigger.

I scored the cake case part with my MS Scoreboard and used some papers that I bought in the US along with some pink cardboard for the card itself.  I was pleased with the way it turned out!

Here is the result

Distress Ink and Peerless Watercolours!

Well today I was finally able to try out some of my recent purchases.

Firstly, I tried the Distress Ink that I bought yesterday at the Ally Pally - they were not cheap there but I needed a purple ink!!!  I used the blending tool and stamped the new bargain stamp I bought yesterday.  I was really pleased with the result and will be using this to put on a card soon.

Yesterday, I managed to get some cheap water pen brushes so was able to try out the Peerless Watercolours.  In case you don't know about these fab paints, they are from the US and come in the form of a pad of paper impregnated with different colours.  You then use the water brush to lift off the colour.  You can get a variety of shades from one colour so can be very subtle or bright depending on what look you want.  They are extremely easy to use, I love them!!!!!

Ally Pally!

Had a nice day at the Ally Pally.  Very busy there and alot of money being spent!!  It was abit too crowded for me when I first arrived so I had a quick look then sat and ate my lunch.  Then I spent several hours pushing my way through the crowds!!!

There were some lovely items there, didn't think some of it was very cheap though!!!  I still managed to spend the £65 that I took with me though!!!  Here's what I bought

It was lovely to meet the lovely Jennie AKA The-Wife and Whoopedoo from MSE.

Ally Pally Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show

Woohoo - going to my first craft show on Saturday 10 April at The Alexandra Palace, Wood Green, London. I am hoping to see some good demos to help me with some of the stamping things I bought whilst in the US.

If anyone is interested in finding out more about the show, you can find out here.

More Paper Flowers!!!!

Ok so decided to try to make some smaller flowers to see how they looked! They are much more fiddley to make especially the very tiny one!!! Here's a pic with a punched cutout next to it to show you what I used and I have put a dime alongside of them to show the sort of side scale.

I prefer the larger flowers personally!!!
